Trapline devastated by wildfire
Donation protected
Last July, my friends Pierre-Yves Duc and Kim Pasche's trapline located in central Yukon was devastated by a wildfire. In addition to buildings, tons of equipment have turned to ashes. The damage have been estimated at $45,000.
My friends don't make a living out of trapping, it is a way of life for them. They do it out of passion for nature and respect for animals.
The trapline was like a second home, and they have lost trapping equipment as well as objects of sentimental value.
Althought next trapping season is compromised, they need to rebuilt a camp there to bring the trapline back to life.
You can help by donating money or tools/equipment.
Here is a list of what has been lost to the flames: snowmachine, ATV, snowshoes, hand tools and power tools, carving tools, skinning knives, pelt care tools, traps, first aid kit, books, hand tanned moose hides, pelts, winterclothes, etc.
Feel free to contact me if you have any question.
Thank you for your help!
