Trevor Toberny's Amputation Fund
Donation protected
Trevor is a firefighter that has gone through hell and back over the last two years. As a firefighter for years, he has given his life to help others. Let's show our support and help Trevor out in this time of need.
Trevor's story: What started as a simple muscle pain has turned into a below-the-knee leg amputation. After numerous doctor's appointments and with pain in the calf area, Trevor learned he had a large hematoma in his calf, but it wouldn't resolve on its own, so the first of many surgeries took place. The goal was to clean it out and then Trevor would be able to get back to work.
Little did he know at that time that it would lead to 26 surgeries and more than 240 days in the hospital. He had surgeries for infections, compartment syndrome requiring faciotomy surgeries, a complete calf and skin removal and ultimately the below the knee amputation.
Recently Trevor found out that workers comp will not pay for the amputation, rehab or anything to do with this surgery. This fund has been set up to help pay for therapy, a wheelchair, a prosthetic leg and to help make his house wheelchair accessible. Not to mention a brand new baby girl! Every donation be it $1 or $500 helps. Thank you in advance to everyone that is able to help out. Stay blessed!
