Triston Werth

Triston was vacationing in Cancun with a group of friends. Early on August 8th family was notified that he endured a horrific 3 story fall. He is now in a severe coma fighting for his life. The Mexican hospitals ask for all the costs up front and it is extremely expensive to get him transported back to the United States. Triston is only 19 and had just finished his first year of college at Fort Hays State. The family greatly appreciates any help as this is a horribly trying time.

I'm not sure how to even begin thanking each and every one of you for your thoughts, prayers and generous donations. The support that we have received during this time has been amazing! Triston has so many friends and family that love him and it shows by all the support we have received! I want to thank you all so much for helping our family during this difficult time! Last night (8/14), Triston passed. It is beyond tragic that such a young, bright, talented, caring, and driven man was taken from us so soon. It is comforting to know that he is no longer in pain and we hope he is watching over us all. We all would give anything to still have him here, but know that he is safe now. There is no way to even begin to thank all of you for your generosity and kindness through these unthinkable circumstances, but it is so greatly appreciated. It has been amazing to see all the people who truly cared for Triston and the impact he had on so many lives. Please continue to keep all the families in your thoughts and prayers and once again thank you.


#1 Misty and Doug went to Cancun today. They should be arriving there pretty soon. He had about a 4 hour surgery yesterday to relieve the pressure on his brain. He has no broken bones which none of us can understand. Today they said he has brain activity, he is breathing on his own, coughing, and swallowing which are all good signs. They are keeping him in an induce coma for 7 days. As soon as he is ready to transport they will be transporting him to Houston, TX. We will try to keep you updated. Thank you all for your support, donations, and prayers. I believe all these prayers are what are helping him through this

#2Misty & Doug are headed to the hospital again now. If all went well over night they are transporting him to Houston, TX today. Doug will get to fly with him and Misty and Savanna will catch the next flight there. Thank you everyone and will keep posting updates.

#3 Triston is being flown to Houston today. The plane will arrive in Cancun around 11:45 and then they plan on taking off at 2:00. They should arrive in Houston at about 6:00. Doug is flying with him. Misty and Savanna will be catching a flight as soon as they can.
