Colorado State Patrol Trooper Jaimie Jursevics was hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver in the line of duty while investigating a crash on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Trooper Jursevics was 33 years old. She is survived by her husband and an 8-month-old daughter.
On 11/15/15 @ 8:40 PM while investigating a crash on I-25 and Tomah Road in Castlerock, Colorado our blue line got thinner, a hero was called home.
“Our family has been hurt today. A senseless act has taken the life of someone who swore to protect Colorado. We offer our thoughts, prayers and full condolences to Jaimie's family.
