Isn’t it time to change the way we see girls and women? Isn’t it time to recognize that beauty is what we see on the inside as well as the outside?

I’m Holly Fulger, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, and an actress, writer, producer and the creator of TRUE BEAUTY DETECTIVE. I have a mission: Make beauty limitless and empower women and girls to be limitless. If we can begin to understand that beauty comes from something so much deeper than looks, we can create a significant shift for all of us.

True Beauty Detective is a media company and movement all about inclusivity, diversity and broad views of beauty. We don’t push beauty ideals, we promote empowerment and acceptance through conversations about beauty on our burgeoning multi-media platforms via our website, social channels and web series, hosted by me, Holly Fulger. TBD believes that with all that’s happening in the world of media, entertainment, business and politics, now is the right time to engage and have meaningful conversations with emphasis on intellect, the spirit, character and confidence as a part of the discussion of
beauty.

We want girls and women to celebrate diverse appearances, ages, races, shapes, sizes, personalities, strengths, ambitions and socioeconomic status, and the individual and collective beauty that results from these differences. We want women to share their stories with the young girls and teens who are asking the questions and seeking guidance. We’ll share the stories on our website and social media channels and the voices, power and confidence of a generation of tweens and teens will be our driving force, with our adult women acting as our mentors and inspiration.

We are at a tipping point in our mission and we are in the process of reaching out to major investors. In order to do this, we need to produce a video "pitch" reel to show potential investors what we are all about.

I am asking you to help us raise $5,000 to put our plan into action. Many of you have helped me when I began this journey four years ago with The Hollywood Beauty Detective and I couldn't have done this without you. True Beauty Detective is an extension of that and with a little more help, True Beauty Detective has the potential to impact millions.

We plan to shoot our series and base our business in the heart of the Midwest: Cleveland, Ohio. Because I grew up here, it was important for me to come back to the place where my initial perceptions of beauty were formed. My friend, Michael Goi (Director & Director of Photography for American Horror Story, Scream Queens, Glee) is coming to Cleveland to shoot and help create the reel, as well as the series, and the rest of my Cleveland-based team includes Christine Lobas and her marketing company, Studiothink , and Ivan Schwartz, head of the Cleveland Film Commission .
