Trurobotics To Washington D.C.
Donation protected
Trurobotics has developed a type of biodegradable plastic compatible with the techniques used at our local composting facility in Kemptown.
Our solution - ADP (Aerobically Decomposing Doggie Bags caught the attention of judges during the Provincial Competition and we were selected as a semi finalist (1 out of 20 Worldwide) for the Global Innovation Award.
This competition being held at the United States Patent and Trademark Office in Washington, D.C.
We were inspired to work on this plastic after witnessing first-hand, the complications that commercially available bio-degradable plastic creates in our composting.
The development and testing of this plastic could not have been accomplished without the sustained help of the staff at the Bale-fill facility.
Our members have less than two months to raise the funds required to travel on June 20-22.
