Tsilhqot'in Fire Relief Fund
Donation protected
Approximately 40,000 British Columbians are displaced as more than 160 wildfires burn in the province. During this great time of need, Huu-ay-aht First Nations, located on Vancouver Island, is raising funds to support the Tsilhqot'in National Government, a First Nation located in central British Columbia. All six of its communities have been hit hard by the wildfires that are burning in the interior of British Columbia. Huu-ay-aht donated $6,000 to Tsilhqot'in, and challenges other nations, governments or individuals help us match and exceed Huu-ay-aht's pledge. The funds raised will support the communities of Tl'etinqox, ?Esdilagh, Yunesit'in, Tsi Deldel, Tl'esqox, and Xeni Gwet'in with the devastating impacts of the wildfires. The funds will offer immediate relief to members of these communities.
