Jessica-Jayde's Bucket List

Donation protected
Jessica-Jayde Allen (Jayde) is a very special young lady who some of you may already know of, especially through her Twitter, blog and YouTube channel. She was first diagnosed with cancer in May 2011 at the age of 15 with Ewing Sarcoma. At the time of diagnosis, Jessica-Jayde’s tumour was in her chest and was so large that it had collapsed her left lung. She had 15 courses of extremely intense chemotherapy which made her very unwell and at the same time as having the chemotherapy, she also had to have 32 sessions of radiotherapy which meant that she had it every day for around 6 weeks (apart from weekends). She went into remission in July 2012 but relapsed with cancer in the same area of her chest in November 2013. Again, she went on to have more chemotherapy but also had an 11 hour operation in April 2014 in a bid to get rid of the cancer for good. In the 11 hours of surgery, Jessica-Jayde had her tumour, left collarbone and first and second rib on the left side removed, along with surrounding tissues. A few months later, she went on to have a stem cell harvest, ready for a stem cell transplant which would be following in the coming months. She was in hospital for 6 and a half weeks for the stem cell transplant, isolated and wasn’t even allowed the windows or door open, or for friends to visit. The stem cell harvest made J very unwell. She couldn’t eat or drink for 5 weeks from the awful side effects of the VERY intense chemotherapy that she had to have beforehand that would wipe out all of her cells, ready for the new ones. In the August of 2014, she really thought that it was the end of her having to go through this awful disease when she had beaten cancer for the second time. Jessica-Jayde is now 20, and is currently fighting cancer for the third time. She relapsed again in August 2015 with 2 tumours in her chest and one on the lining of her left lung, although her body and kidneys were weak and tired even then, she didn’t think twice about looking into her options and then starting onto a course of chemotherapy, knowing how awful the side effects of this certain chemotherapy we're going to be. This chemotherapy made her very ill and over September/October, she was in intensive care twice for around 6 days both times, then went into high dependency, then a general ward. So her stay was around 2 weeks in total for each admission. By this point, her body was weaker but she still had her chemotherapy changed to something that would hopefully be more tolerable for her body and kidneys, then she didn’t even think twice about carrying on with her treatment. Jessica-Jayde had an MRI on the 10th February to see whether the treatment was making a difference. She got her results on the 15th and it was unfortunately not the news that herself, her family or friends were hoping for. Then the next day, she received more bad news. She is always so positive and has said that it isn’t “game over” until she says so and is going to carry on living her life and concentrating on making memories and spending time with her family and friends instead of giving up and spending her time crying about what is happening to her. She has made the brave decision to put together a bucket list so that she can hopefully start ticking things off of her list and making some wonderful memories along with her family and friends. Throughout all of this, Jessica-Jayde has been incredibly unselfish and provided help & support to others who need it. You can read her blog in the link attached: alittletouchofhope.blogspot.com (Her cancer story can be read on there)
By setting up this page we are hoping to help her achieve some of her dreams and be able to tick some things off of her bucket list.
She is currently writing up her bucket list but she has thought of some things that she would love to do and these are:

Weekend breaks with her family and her best friend.
A big shopping trip.
Family photoshoot
For her blog to spread around the world so that she can hopefully help some more people!
A shopping trip in MAC

BIG big things that she would love to do:
Go to Los Angeles, USA.
A family holiday to somewhere that they’ve always wanted to go.

She has only just started her list so we’re sure that there will be other things that Jayde would love to do.
