Turkeys for Central Falls

Central Falls is the poorest community in the state of Rhode Island with 30% or more of the population living below the poverty rate and the poverty rate for children is even higher at 41.1%. No one should go without, especially during the holidays. 

The Central Falls food pantry housed at Progreso Latino is operating on a small budget, and funding is not a guarantee every year. That is why Progreso Latino (PL) is partnering with the Central Falls Prevention Coalition and Market Basket to provide Central Falls residents with Turkey Baskets. 

Progreso Latino, Inc. (“PL”) is a multi-service, non-profit, community based organization located in Central Falls. Our mission is to empower Rhode Island’s Latino and Immigrant communities to achieve greater self-sufficiency and socio-economic progress by providing transformational programs that support personal growth and social change. The Central Falls Prevention Coalition is a community organization whose mission is to promote substance abuse awareness, education and prevention among the community, families and youth in the City of Central Falls.
