¡ Campaña terminada ! Campagne terminée ! Campaign completed ! Ende der Kampagne !
Thank you so much for making our travel to Strasbourg a success! We met 3 MEPs, gave a talk to promote UBIE at a full roundtable (watch here ), and created strong bonds between participants . On Sunday, we had this workshop to gather information about the event and measure how much the basic income was a hot topic among the activities.
The good outcome of that event is that we not only created new friendships, but we decided to continue working together.

Lectures, workshops and roundtable to prepare the European elections 2019!
Our advocacy work in Strasbourg doesn't stop there! The EYE2018 continues with a special report sent to all MEPs and European Youth Hearings in Brussels. All the speakers are asked to sum up their ideas presented during the event and send it to the EYE reporters. This special report will be sent to all the MEPs of the parliament.
If you want to continue supporting the advocacy work of our NGO at the European level, you can subscribe to our newsletter, donate regularly here or even become a member !
Thank you again for your support for the youth and the EU citizenship,
all the best,
Aurélie Hampel

Our Sunday workshop
- THE CAMPAIGN -
Did you know that robots paying us a basic income could have been possible in 2017?
Bring basic income message to Strasbourg! 20 young people from 10 nationalities will participate and meet other young Europeans, NGOs and important decision makers at the European Parliament.
A share, a donation 5€, 30€ or more will help us achieve our goal

We want to make a basic income a reality for all Europeans and live in a more social Europe. European Youth Event 2018 is the place to be to foster political dialogs with the youth (8,000 participants), NGOs and MEPs.
Did you know that robots paying us a basic income could have been possible in 2017?
MEP Mady Delvaux proposed a BI based on robot-tax. Only 14 votes were missing! The idea was to compensate the impact of automation on the European job market.
This is not our only proposal. UBIE is a non-profit organisation that aims at the implementation of the basic income in Europe and beyond.
Basic income sometimes called "free money", is a fundamental right to receive a monthly allowance that guarantees you a safety net whatever your status in the society. Whether you have a paid work or not, you receive it, without condition, regardless of wealth.
There are many ways to make it happen, and we want to spread the word in Strasbourg!
For the first time, Unconditional Basic Income Europe (UBIE) will participate in a huge event at the European Parliament, the European Youth Event 2018 (EYE2018). It takes place in Strasbourg from 1-2 June 2018.
(If funded) We project also to print booklets to distribute during the event to prepare the European elections of 2019. In that way, we would raise awareness about the first steps to implement basic income at the European level.
On Sunday 3rd, we want to organise a workshop, open to the public, to continue planning our next actions.

-- About the project coordinator --
I am Aurélie Hampel, former secretary of Unconditional Basic Income Europe (UBIE).
Last December, I was invited by the European Parliament to be a speaker at the roundtable "Basic Income: return of Robin Hood" during EYE2018 event.
As I discovered that 8.000 young people would be part of the event, I challenged myself and decided to send as many UBI advocates as possible in Strasbourg.
Beyond the idea we promote, it will be for a majority of us, our first time at the EP, and a good occasion to experience our EU citizenship.
