We are a team of graduates from UC Santa Barbara, UC Berkeley, and Purdue University, passionate about solar energy and a sustainable future. We are providing solar cleaning solutions through an economical means, allowing for worldwide accessibility.
With climate change becoming a nearer reality, there is a pressing need to change our habits. In order to take a step in the right direction, we need to switch to renewable energy — right?
Well, yes. Except, here’s the issue. Solar panels are underperforming due to the mere dust, bird droppings (including possible other droppings), and mold that accumulates on the panel. Which means that the generation of solar energy needs to be more efficient if we want to switch.
This is where MoreSolar comes in. We saw there was a need for the solar energy industry, and we created our company. Our product will continuously clean the solar panels using only the wind to move our mechanical device. In its purest form, it is a simple solution, very cheap to manufacture, and will not use additional limited resources.
We are aware of the impacts of global warming and decided that we are not going to sit back idly. Last Spring, we were led by the passion to make a difference, and entered into the New Venture competition at UC Santa Barbara, pitched our business plan, and won 1st place along with the Impact Award!
How we can best describe that win is proud and empowered. That feeling you get when your hard work has paid off, and you know your heart is in the right place.
Now, this is where you come in, supporters. We have the business plan to back up our idea, including top talent working to make this dream a reality. However, with every innovative idea, we need funding.
We are asking for $100,000. This will help solidify our prototype, allow us to continue our project full time, and prepare us for our testing with First Solar (the largest solar manufacturer in the world) as well as other solar manufacturers.
Our device has an immediate impact on the amount of fossil fuel usage that is taking place because of the continuous benefit of our device.
