Grow A Library for UCP Charter

Donation protected

When the Central Florida Slug Club began their book drive to benefit UCP of Central Florida, their efforts quickly gained steam throughout Orlando. UCP was founded in 1955 to benefit children with disabilities and developmental delays. When the Slug Club visited in 2016 they realized that many of the campuses lacked one thing that was absolutely essential for fostering a love of learning, and that was a library.

As a non-profit charter, UCP relies heavily on donations for its facilities, and this does include any proposed libraries or literacy classrooms. The Pine Hills campus is especially in need of an interactive literacy classroom for its K-5 students this fall. Additionally, our goal is to create a fun and imaginative space to inspire these children to enjoy reading, and the great members of the Central Florida Slug Club, some of the employees from Universal Roof & Contracting, and a few other local volunteers would like to help make this idea a reality.

It is our goal to raise enough money for an all-out volunteer renovation on August 6th.

The money from this page would go towards all aspects of the literacy classroom.

Please help us turn this space into something magical for the UCP Charter students and spread the love of reading! :) The current physical therapy room at UCP Charter in Pine Hills.....
Help us turn it into a magical space.
