We help re-instill confidence in people by recreating their smiles while relieving their pain, in turn allowing them to confidently smile again, free of charge! As we all know, a smile expresses happiness and confidence which is crucial to success in one's life.

We need your help! The UCSD Student-Run Free Dental Clinic Project and Pre-Dental Society operates four student-run free dental clinics in San Diego County. Our licensed volunteer dentists and dental specialists provide accessible, quality dental care to uninsured inner-city families, working poor, and homeless of all ages and help teach our students about the dental profession. Each clinic provides a wide range of free dental care, including comprehensive general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, removable orthodontia, periodontics, and preventive dentistry. We see children at our Baker and Lemon Grove sites.

To date, our students and professionals combined have volunteered over 93,500 hours and we have provided over 6.3 million dollars worth of accessible quality dental care to the underserved in our community.

Our organization has received much national attention and recognition. Many prominent individuals within the dental profession see our organization as a model for outreach. As the only undergraduate student-run free dental clinic organization in the country, we are being examined as a possible model to be replicated across the country at other undergraduate institutions. To date, ~800 of our pre-dental students are now in dental school or have graduated. Many have come back to volunteer in our clinics.

In addition to working in the free dental clinics, the students who volunteer with the UCSD Free Dental Clinic Project are offered other unique opportunities to help provide quality dental care on a global level through humanitarian outreach. For over seven years, we have partnered with the US Navy, providing civilian volunteers for international humanitarian missions. We also collaborate with other health organizations to bring care to countries such as the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. Our student members also partner with the dental component to the Flying Samaritans Clinic in Ensenada, Mexico, the Thousand Smiles Foundation and the Norcal Project in which we assist in delivering care to poor children with cleft lip and palate defects and other dental needs in Ensenada, Mexico.

The UCSD Pre-Dental Society and Free Dental Clinic Project would appreciate any donations that you can provide. Our organization operates on donations and services and we are always in need of dental supplies and equipment so we can continue to provide quality dental care to our patients. The donations we earn would be used for the things that keep the clinics running.

We have just opened our 4th UCSD Free Dental Clinic in San Diego and will soon be opening a 5th clinic dedicated to our underserved and homeless veterans.
