Ugandan Messianic Ministry Support
There is a Messianic Synagogue, one of three, situated in a remote part of Uganda. They have contacted me through my ministry, messianicmoment.com, and last year I sent them copies of the three books I have written, as well as a few Messianic Bibles. The shipping cost alone was over $100 USD.
They are now requesting 9 prayer shawls, 4 more Bibles and 6 more copies of each of my three books, as they find them very useful in their Torah studies.
I am asking for help to do this, as the cost will about $650 USD. This includes the approximated cost of shipping.
Any funds that are left over I will supplement from my own pocket to make sure every penny is spent sending these Messianic Believers study aids.
If I can get only 30 or 40 people to send $15 or $20 dollars, then we will be successful. I looked up the average Ugandan rural monthly income, and it is 303,000 Ugandan shillings, which is only about $80.00 USD.
Truthfully, how much do we spend each month on our cell phone each month? On cable TV? Or just buying popcorn and a large soda at the movies? Isn't it more worthwhile than a phone bill or popcorn to be able to help these people, who don't even have regular Internet service, let alone a computer, to know the Lord better?
On behalf of my Ugandan friends, I thank you for taking the time to read this. PLEASE! Ask the Lord what he would do, what he wants YOU to do, and listen to your heart. I am sure it is saying, "Ah, what's the problem? If I send Steve a "Jackson" to help these people, that won't drain my 401K."
Remember: God blesses us so that we can bless others.
