UH Mock Trial goes to Memphis!

Mock Trial at the University of Houston is an organization that competes against other teams from across the nation.
Student attorneys are trained in legal procedures used in U.S. courts. Attorneys are responsible for questioning witnesses, giving opening and closing statements, and arguing objections. Witnesses are responsible for taking on the role of a character. Witnesses are given a character’s backstory and must remain in character while being questioned by attorneys (this gets challenging and fun). Characters range from professional to humorous.
Our organization is COMPLETELY funded by its own members. We recieve no money from our University or sponsors.
This year, for the first time in program history, we have advanced past regionals to the open round championships. This is an amazing learning opportunity but is a huge financial burden on the team due to the travel and registration expenses.
