Send Daniel & Danielle to Europe
Daniel B. Summerhill and Danielle Colin are going on tour internationally!!!! They will be performing original poems and teaching workshops in cities such as Glasgow, London, Manchester, and Oxford in the U.K.
Though venues and promoters are covering parts of the trip, Daniel and Danielle will still need a significant amount of help for travel expenses and lodging.
They will be going on tour August 22nd through August 30th and need to secure lodging and airfare as soon as possible. They are trying to reach their goal by July 30th.
This tour means alot to both poets. For Daniel, this will be his debut outside the United States performing poetry and he has dreamed of his poetry taking him around the world since he was in middle school.
We are extremely thankful for donations of any amount and appreciate the support of art being universal and intercontinental.

~~Daniel B. Summerhill is a travelling poet and performance/teaching artist from Oakland, CA. He received his BA in English and Philosophy from the College of Saint Rose and is a MFA candidate at Pine Manor College in Boston, MA. He has traveled over 15 states since 2009. He published two collections of poems. The first, a chapbook called "Brown Boys on Stoops," and the second, a full length collection called "Crafted." In addition to these publications, Daniel has won scholarships to both the New York State Writers Institute as well as the Juniper Writers Institute.
~~Danielle Colin, otherwise known as Danielle Colin Charlestin off the stage, D. Colin has been writing poetry since childhood, discovering many of her talents inside the church. Her writing is heavily inspired by spirituality, Haiti, personal experience and the intersection between race, class and gender. In college, D. Colin majored in English with a concentration in creative writing at Southern CT State University. After earning her bachelors, she went on to earn a Masters in Africana Studies from University at Albany. Danielle released her first collection of poems titled "Dreaming in Kreyol " last fall.
