We always wonder what our life’s purpose is, and I feel truly blessed knowing mine. I’m Angela Hatton and Unite the Journey is my purpose.
The Walk.
I started walking across the country on March 2, 2016 from Dillon Beach, CA and I am currently en route to Ocean City, MD by way of Hwy 50. This started as a solo cross-country trek to raise awareness for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD); however, I realized I needed to get veterans walking with me. As I go from town to town and connect with veterans I encourage them to join me in this journey whether it's for a few hours, a few days or months. The benefits from doing something like this changes a person's outlook on life and only for the better. If you are a veteran or know of someone that may be interested please contact me.
Giving Back to our Veterans.
Along the journey, I was introduced to a Veteran-run Non-Profit called Wishes for Warriors and wanted to donate to their incredible organization. So, I began to document our beautiful country through black and white photos. With the help of one of my amazing friends, we started a website selling these photos. 100% of the proceeds from this site will be given to Wishes for Warriors. Donations to this site are used for lodging purposes, food, and equipment. Every dollar not spent on this trip will be donated to Wishes for Warriors. Each donation is greatly appreciated!!
