Upgrade Quilting Software

Donation protected
I recently picked up a new hobby: quilting... particularly patterning. I have been working with some freeware to help design and develop my own paper pieced patterns and I absolutely love designing. I even dream about patterns to create! I find myself drawn to subject matter that is not well represented in the quilting community, namely cheeky, geeky, gothic and/or nerdy designs. For example, I am currently working with a local tattoo artist to develop some traditional tattoo designs to turn into quilting patterns. I think I have the skill and drive to help fill this niche for other crafters out there who love the same kinds of subjects. Here are some examples of a few patterns I have developed so far:

*Patterns based on copyrighted material will not be sold. These are for personal use only. See Fandom in Stitches for more details.

I have published (on my blog) several free patterns, but I want to up my game and get some professional software.  Due to the terms and conditions of the freeware patterning software I am currently using, I cannot ever sell my patterns. To upgrade to the professional quilting software is very expensive... but it is the only game in town (Electric Quilt 7 ). My family's budget can't really save for something so frivolous, but I was hoping that a few generous people out there might help me achieve my goal. I hope to eventually offer both free patterns and pay patterns for quilters to enjoy.

If you donate any amount, you will get a shout out on my blog: The Strange are Quilting  and my eternal thanks.

If you go above and beyond with a donation of $40 or more, I will personally design you a 12x12 paper pieced quilting pattern (you must supply the image it is based on).  The pattern and/or images of the design will not be released to the general public, unless you give me the permission to do so.

Any money raised above the $150 needed (which would blow my mind), I will use them to get additional add-ons for the software (currently... prices on Amazon seem to fluctuate from $150 to ~$200 for EQ7).

Thank you for your consideration!
