The Uptown Theatre in historic downtown Sedalia, Missouri opened in 1936 and though it has been closed for 42 years, it is being restored and resurrected!

The Uptown Theatre will soon entertain Central Missourians and visitors from around the globe with more quality entertainment than any other house of entertainment in the community's history! The Uptown Theatre is owned by Sedalia Downtown Development Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to revitalizing downtown Sedalia's historic properties, the businesses, and professionals who live, work, and own property in this National Historic District..
