Keep the Music Playing

Russ Ebnet has been playing music at the high school and junior level for 30 years, generally on a volunteer basis. Russ has found somewhat of a home here at Drake Arena and truly loves playing music for the St. Paul Academy Spartan boys hockey team and the St. Paul United girls hockey team. He is usually the first one to the rink and last to leave on game days, always making sure the coaches and players enjoy what they hear.  If you think Russ is just into the music, you would be wrong.  He knows the rivalry games, the top players on other teams and he loves cheering on the Spartans and United. Russ has always been supportive of our programs over the years, often attending section and State Tournament games, never asking for a free ticket.  

We have recently learned that Russ no longer has a vehicle.  Russ is not in a financial situation that would enable him to purchase a new one and he may not be able to be part of games at Drake Arena this season or in the future.  As a group we are hoping you will join us in trying to support Russ.  Our goal is to raise funds to purchase Russ a mechanically sound, economically smart, used vehicle. One that fits his music equipment and can help him get to our games and others that he volunteers for.
