Surgery to help Jeff walk again

Hi my name is Jeffrey Dunbar. I'm 24 from Chicago, Il. I'm an ex amateur mixed martial arts fighter. I started in mixed martial arts because I love competition and it was an opportunity for me to create a better life for myself. However, in 2011 I was injured in a match and everything changed.     The injury I sustained was a break in the c4 vertebrae of my neck, doctors initially diagnosed me with complete paralysis from the neck down basically saying "I would never walk again ". Through therapy I've made a recovery that the doctors said I wouldn't make. I have continued to fight since that day and at this point I need your help.

I am starting a GoFundMe to gather funds for a very costly surgery that has great potential to have me walking again. The surgery I would require is an olfactory mucosa autograph in the spinal cord which is taking olfactory cells and transplanting them into my spinal cord to help regenerate the damaged cells and nerves in my neck. I've always believed I would walk again and with this surgery I will not only be able to walk, I will continue to fight for a better life. I have plans to finish school, and begin a career as a life coach where my story will hopefully encourage and inspire others.
