Deuces Journey
My name is Francisco, but you can call me Deuce. I am 4 years old, in late December early January my parents found a bump on my thigh that was abnormal to them, so they took me to the doctor. I was referred to a specialist in town, he was going to do my surgery when my MRI results came back but when they did he suddenly refused. A while after that I was referred to another specialist in Sacramento. We did another MRI where I had to be sedated, they put gadolinium in my veins so they can separate the mass from my muscle tissues and my arteries. When this first began the mass was as small as a cherry, it is now the size of a baseball between my legs. On Friday 5-15-15 my mom received a phone call that no parent ever wants, I have cancer. Now my journey begins with my treatments to try and minimize the mass because if they can't get it any smaller I will lose my leg. I don't want you to feel sorry for me, but I want you to pray. Pray that I will be ok and my body will have a good reaction to the treatments. Pray that I have the strength to make it through this, pray that my family stays strong during this time as well. Don't ever wait to take a family member to the Dr when something is unusual and don't let them take their time treating it, because it could be life threatening and it could be someone you love.
So let's raise awareness!! Any and all help is greatly appreciated!
