UWTSD Lampeter Mens Rugby tour 2018
Donation protected
We are the men's rugby club from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David Lampeter, for those of you who aren't familiar with us we are officially recognized by the WRU as the first team in Wales to play Rugby after Professor Rowland Williams introduced the sport to the students 152 years ago. After we memorialised our playing of the first game of rugby Wales in 2016, form here we have decided to celebrate the clubs history by going on tour in June 2018 to Prague. The club will be taking both its current members and alumni on tour to play European clubs and spread our history across Europe as we feel the team is crucial to Welsh culture given the love of the sport by the Welsh. Therefore we would love to show the rest of the world how important the club has been, and share our history across Europe as well as giving the teams we play the opportunity to become part of our prestigious history. If we raise more than we need the rest of the money will be used to support the team for the rest of the season by buying essential equipment as well as maintaining the clubs facilities such as renovating our pavilion which at over a 100 years of age is integral to our identity.
