Chris & Jen Blouin's Fire Fund
Donation protected
On the evening of Saturday, Sept. 26, our friends Chris and Jen Blouin were outside enjoying the lunar eclipse while, unbeknownst to them, an electrical fire had started inside their home. An upstairs neighbor alerted them to the fire, which was quickly filling the house with smoke. After calling 911, they attempted to rescue their beloved dogs, Rocky, Kona and Milo, but the smoke and fire were already too much. Fortunately, the Warren Fire Department was able to save the dogs, but Jen and Rocky had to be taken away by ambulance for additional medical treatment. [A local news station is actually doing a story on the doggy oxygen mask that was used to save Rocky.] Everyone is now healthy after the ordeal, but you can see from the photos that their home was a total loss. Anything not destroyed by the fire was severely damaged by smoke. Jen and Chris are staying at a pet-friendly hotel while trying to put the pieces of their lives back together and could really use a little help from all of us. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
