I'm writing today to ask for help.  My daughter and her family are at the end of their financial rope trying to treat their Lyme Disease.  Luke has been dealing with Lyme since he was 19, and battling hard the last 4 years. We found out that Luke lied to his family about feeling better because Nicole was diagnosed with Lyme, and needed treament.  This was due to the very high cost (almost all out of pocket).  They've used up all their savings, and then Ari got really sick.  He spent almost 4 days in the hospital, couldn't eat or drink anything for over a week, had fevers for over two weeks, and couldn't walk.  My grandson Ari was a healthy, funny 9 year old boy who loved his Parkour lessons and horse back riding and always had a smile on his face.  Now he is wheelchair bound, and lost his joy.  He was diagnosed with Lyme, and needs to be treated pretty aggressively, which is even more expensive. And due to three of them now having this terrible disease, they got the other two boys checked.  Eli came back negative, but Kai was positive.  This illuminated a myriad of issues they've been stuggling with related to Kai.  So now 4 out of 5 of them need treatment and Mom and Dad are out of financial resources.  This is a long and very expensive road.  As I mentioned, treating Lyme is mostly, if not all, out of pocket.  The doctor visits alone are $400-$600 per hour.  And then the treatment therapy and medicine adds substantially to the bill.  It makes me sick that this isn't covered by Health Insurance. It is estimated that the total cost to treat an individual with Chronic Lyme Disease is around $35,000.  And 4 of them have it.  What I know of my daughter and son-in-law is that they are givers who care deeply about everyone.  They are in a time of desperate need.  I'm reaching out to you to lend a financial hand.  Please help lift their burdon.  If you are the praying type, they could use your prayers as well (we know MANY of you already have them in your prayers, and we thank you for that).  It is extremely difficult to watch your children go through such pain.  Thank you very much and GOD bless you.
