Vet Bills for Kraken the Kitty

Donation protected

UPDATE: Kraken is doing a lot better since he was attacked! His first few days back he would not leave my dad's office and was constantly on alert whenever someone walked down the hall. Now he is venturing the house again (not 100%) but he is slowly but surely getting back to his old self now that he has realized the dog that attacked him is no longer in the house. Unfortunately the vet bills are still pretty pricey, but not as much as expected but any little bit still helps tremendously! Thank you to everyone for all of your love and kind words, donations, and facebook/twitter shares <3 it means a lot to me and my family and of course Kraken :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hey guys...it is with sadness in our hearts that my family is asking for help for our poor baby Kraken... Some of you have met him and if you haven't, you've definitley heard about him from me.
Kraken comes from the animal hospital I used to work at, he is almost completely deaf and his life was saved by the veterinarians after his eye had to be removed in an emergency surgery. the original owners unfortunately did not have the financial means for the surgery, so Kraken was saved but instead continued to live at the animal hospital. As soon as I started working there, I immediately fell in love with him! He spent the nights alone and I could see him becoming sad as the days went on, and he is a one cat household type of guy so I couldn't take him in with my two babies,  so I kept hinting to my dad that he was lonely and needed a home and showing him pictures and eventually I kind of just showed up with him and all of his stuff and he fit into the family perfectly! He loves playing with our dogs and we're convinced he thinks he is a big dog himself. His favorite thing to do is get brushed and sunbathe!
So now to get to the hard part of the story, recently my family took in a Malamute to foster to try to help out a family friend...unfortunately as time went on things did not really seem to progress with his acclimation to our house, but they got worse. Having animals our entire lives we are fully aware that sometimes things do not work out...this afternoon Kraken was sunbathing in his favorite spot fast asleep when out of nowhere the foster dog attacked him...Kraken is just a little guy so he did not come out of the attack well especially with it coming out of left field from a 130 pound dog...right now he is suffering from collaspsed lungs, multiple puncture wounds, broken ribs, his heart is ripped away from the bone and his muscles are completely torn away from his spine...he is sedated and on a Fentanyl drip.
He is currently at the emergency veterinary hospital and they want to keep him for a few more days...the vet bills as of right now are in the thousands and are only going to get more expensive as time goes on. The last thing we want if he does make it through this is for him to have to go through the feeling of being seperated from his owners because of financial reasons for a second time... Any help would be greatly appreciated...we definitley are not ready to let go of our baby yet!!
Even if you can't donate, please keep our little feline friend in your thoughts and prayers and hope he makes it through this!! Have a blessed day everyone xoxo
