Help Vet Live The American Dream

Hi- I would like to tell you about my amazing partner and friend, Brett and the dreams that we have.
From the age of 18, he has sworn to serve and protect this great nation, as a member of the United States Navy. Five short months from now, will mark the end of a 13 year chapter in his life, due to medical retirement. One of the reasons he enlisted was to see the world. Now, after multiple deployments, I would kindly ask you help a veteran achieve his goal of finally getting to see the country he put his life on the line to protect. After leaving the military, he still wants to travel and so I do, but with an altruistic mission of giving back while getting by.
That leads us to our adventure and where you come in:
It is our mission to clean a body of water in all 50 states!
We are selling everything we own and purchasing a school bus to convert into a mini-home so that we may feasibly continue to travel, while leaving a small eco-footprint and keeping costs minimal.
We both have friends and family from coast to coast.
(Some we haven't seen in over a decade) Brett has long-time shipmates from the Navy, stationed all over, that he would love the chance to reconnect with. I will do freelance work and he will have disability checks coming in, but we have bigger goals than just hitting the road- we want to start our own businesses in different crafted arts and eventually afford to get married.
We are not asking you to just give us money so we can go on a roadtrip. We are asking for a leg up for us lovebirds, as we try to take this next big step, hand in hand. We want to give back, get in touch with our families, visit long-lost friends and get an opportuinuty to persue the American dream of life, liberty and happiness. What better way to experience the freedoms he spent more than a decade protecting, than by seeing them enjoyed by Americans in all 50 of these great United States?
Each little bit helps:
We have barely 5 months to go, before our lease ends and we need to have a bus habitable. (October)
Recently, while Brett was driving home from the store, the left front wheel broke off of the car, and now we are sharing one vehicle
We have spent the last two years pouring over websites, drawing blue-prints, calling dealerships and sellers, contacting junk yards and pieceing this together as best we can. We have a solid plan and the wheels are already in motion, as they say, we just need that extra push so we can keep up a good speed! We have both missed out on many family events and get-togethers because of our respective jobs in the past. This will be a chance for us to attempt to make up some of that lost time while getting to see the beauty of the Heartland and working to keep it that way.
I wish that I had the means to make all of his dreams come true. For such a young man to have sacrificed so much for his country and its people, for their opportuinty to have dreams and go after them- it would truely be an honor to see him surpass his goals and enjoy the new-found freedoms he has earned.
We really appreciate you taking the time to read this over and maybe pass it on to someone you know.
