Support the Vandegrift Family

During the early hours of Sunday, October 22nd- Tommy Vandegrift, a son, a brother, a friend to many, a freshman in college studying architecture, a recent graduate of Alexis I dupont High school became the victim of an absolute senseless act of gun violence. After walking a friend out of a Homecoming party, Tommy began to make his way back into the household when he was shot in the head by an unknown juvenille who had been in a verbal altercation with another teenager at the party.
Against all odds Tommy fought for his life and won. Due to the extraordinary progress Tommy has made he has been able to leave the hospital and relocate to a Rehabilitation center. Every single day tommy is working courageously towards recovery with a full heart and spirit. Tommy has proven to overcome any obstacle that comes his way. Tommy lost his father and brother several years ago and never let that bring him down. Tom has stuck by his mother and sisters side the whole way. To those that know Tommy they know him as an honorable, respectable, uplifting young gentleman. I know very well Tommy doesn't like the idea of asking for money, but folks, Any possible donation you feel appropriate would be a tremendous burden off the families shoulders and help towards the medical costs that the family has been left to pay. The Vandegrift family would be more than greatful for any donations that will help get them back on the track towards financial stability during this difficult time. Thank you for reading this and please keep the Vandegrift family in your prayers.
