My name is Princy Varghese and I am trying to raise money for my sister’s (Vincey Varghese) funeral and medical expenses. She fought her battle with Sarcoma Brain Cancer until the end. On March 16, 2016 Vincey Varghese left this world to be with her Savior at the young age of 21.

Vincey was first diagnosed on January 24, 2016 and was told that less than 1% received this rare tumor in the brain. She underwent brain surgery on February 8, 2016 to remove the aggressive tumor. The surgery went well, but a week-and-a-half later, Vincey was informed that the tumor was malignant and would require additional treatment. Unfortunately, the tumor was rapidly growing after surgery and she was admitted into Duke Emergency room on March 11, 2016 due to complications and swelling in the brain. The following day she was admitted into the ICU and put on a ventilator. She continued to fight the Cancer for three days and on March 16, 2016 passed away from this life to the next. She was buried at Westminster Gardens Cemetery in Greensboro, NC.

Vincey was a pre-med student at UNC-Chapel Hill studying to be a pediatrician.  She was currently in her Junior year and was scheduled to take her MCAT in May of this year. She participated in Relay for Life at UNC- Chapel Hill, a Cancer fighting organization, before she became a victim of it herself. She had a heart for helping others; she tutored with a UNC program called (HYPE), which stands for Helping Youth by Providing Enrichment.

Vincey Varghese was a very passionate young woman with an unforgettable smile. Her passion for Jesus and her love for people made an impression on any one she met. She was full of life and never wasted a moment of it.  She helped children in orphanages in Kerala, India and always dreamed of creating her own one-day.  She left a legacy of inspiring and touching many lives at home, at school and abroad through many missions’ projects. She was involved in every aspect of church life, from feeding the homeless to working with younger teens through the Fine Arts program. In everything she did, she gave it her all and made Jesus famous. She was courageous, competitive, generous, loved life, family and friends.

My name is Pastor Troy Davis and on behalf of Calvary Church and Fluid Student Ministries we would ask that you would help support this special family. This was unexpected and no preparation was done in advance. Everyone is still in shock and disbelief. She is survived by Daniel and Shaila Varghese (Father and Mother) and Princy Varghese (Sister).

Over the past week the family has been overwhelmed and many expenses have occurred. Bills have totaled over $35,000 in just a week’s time of out of pocket expenses; however, this does not include any medical bill costs. We are asking you for two things: Support the family financially as well as sharing this link to others. A portion of all funds given will go towards the fight against Pediatric Cancer.

If you would like to donate but do not want to go through the website. Please make checks payable to Shaila Varghese. You can send donations straight to P.O. Box 19252, Greensboro, NC 27419.

Thank you for your support during this difficult time.
