Jim's Medical Bills Fund

You’ve probably never met a finer couple than Jim and Kay Baltzegar. They have lived in the Raleigh, NC area for many years and recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. Jim lost his battle with lung cancer today so all of us who knew and loved him mourn the loss. Along with Kay, his two children and 12 grandchildren who range in age from 20 months to 17 years will miss him especially!
Jim was in the construction business for many years following in the footsteps of his father. He established his own company doing commercial and residential projects around the area.
Jim and Kay are members of Piney Grove Baptist Church in Fuquay Varina. Jim lived his faith by volunteering his construction skills for projects to help Military Missions in Action and other mission groups. He has traveled to many disaster sites including areas ravaged by Hurricane Katrina and other places where his help was needed. Jim willingly gave his time, money and skills to those in need, no matter what the cost or how far the distance.
Jim loved beach music and Shag dancing! He was an active member of the BASSLake Area Shag Society and has given countless hours of his time and energy when needed for various club projects. Jim was awarded the BASSLake Member of the year in December of 2014 and was also a member of the BASSLake Shag Team.
Jim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer just a couple of months ago. Since then, he received both radiation and chemotherapy treatments in an effort to save or prolong his life. He was on oxygen most of the time and was, of course, unable to work. Kay, who became disabled to work a few years ago, was his full time nurse during his illness. Kay is now left with medical bills to pay as well as ongoing living expenses. Whatever amount you can contribute to this family will be enormously appreciated.
