VFW Post 1860 -Devastated by Fire
Donation protected
On the afternoon of Saturday, July 11th our VFW post 1860 in Front Royal, Virginia was devastated by fire. Thankfully, there were no serious injuries suffered by fire and rescue officials, VFW members or our patrons during the tremendous efforts to save the post. In the end, the structure and the contents were deemed a “total loss”.
While Post members are deeply saddened by this tragic event, a renewed sense of purpose has stirred our aged and experienced membership. Along with the Front Royal community, these Veterans, many having served in our Nations conflicts from WWII to the present day, are committed to restoring the Post and its stature as a charitable giving resource.
Our small Post has much fight left in it and with your help, we can rebuild a modest structure and reclaim our place serving the Front Royal and surrounding communities.
