Community Development Projects

Hi! We are an eight person group of volunteers working together for 18 months, to help community development projects overseas in Africa and Brazil. We will be working on the project sites for six months, creating sustainable education, health, and agricultural projects for communities in need. These projects will include building schools, working in teacher training colleges, educating about the prevention of HIV and AIDS, creating clean water systems, building toilets, and teaching and beginning profitable farming projects, as a source of income and nutrition for the communities. 

Before we can embark on this journey at the end of January, however, each of us need to raise $8,000 to cover travel costs, immunizations, and visas, as well as funding for our projects of choice. We are, and will continue fundraising at storefronts in various cities around the country, but we are asking for donations to help us reach our goal by November, so that we can focus our last two months in the states on preparing and educating ourselves for the six months ahead.
