E.S. student's college funds stolen
Donation protected
The El Segundo Police Officers Association is asking for your assistance in helping Kristin Villanueva get her college funds back!
Kristin graduated this year from El Segundo High School as class valedictorian. Throughout her years at El Segundo High School, Kristin tutored countless students in the area. Kristin saved approximately $2,000 she made from tutoring to pay for her first quarter of school.
Recently, Kristin was accepted to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo for Materials Engineering and was extremely excited to use the $2,000 towards her first quarter.
Earlier this month, while she was away with her family, unknown suspect(s) burglarized her home and stole all of the tutoring money Kristin saved for college. Along with her tutoring money, the suspect(s) stole more money, jewerly and other important family items.
Kristin has done everything right in her life and was a major contributor to this community. Let's not allow some burglars ruin her college experience!!!
When speaking with Kristin, she still had a great positive outlook on life... "I know that sometimes life is unfair and people make the decision to steal and take what doesn’t belong to them, but despite the burglary my family and I went through, it won’t hinder our motivation to keep doing good work for our community."
Please join the El Segundo Police Officers Association and donate to help Kristin get back the money she worked so hard for!!!
