Volunteer Fire Station Upgrades
Tax deductible
Central Bell County Fire Rescue is an all Volunteer Fire Department in Bell County Texas. We are staffed 24hours a day, 365 days a year, and run about 1100 calls a year. Our station was built around 1983 according to records, and has not had any needed upgrades or improvements since to the Apparatus Bay area. We currently have solid (warehouse style) bay doors with no insulation left on them. Out of the 7 used bay doors, three are the manual chain pull type. The chains are rusty, wheels are broken and tracks are barely hanging on. One of the doors doesnt even open any more. We are changing that. We have just purchased and installed one full view, insulated and power bay door. We have six to go. At a cost of a little over $3600 each, it is going to take quite a while to finish the upgrades. We are using funds brought in by fundraisers for these improvements. We do a fundraiser about once a quarter. At that rate, it will take about a year and a half to have all the doors replaced. The price per door includes removal of the existing doors, tracks and hardware, and includes the install of new tracks, hardware, insulated doors and new commercial grade openers, with one transmitter for the Engine. Thank you for considering our department as a worthwhile charity. Stay Safe out there..........
