Hello!
My name is Mariana, and I have decided to create this fund for a very important reason. After I tell you my story, I am sure you will want to help me out! I am really enthusiastic and motivated, but now I only need your help to get where I need to be!
In March 2015, I will start a new chapter of my life, I was accepted to make a year of volunteer work in Bali (Indonesia ).
For one year, I will be working as a volunteer in an organization called International Humanitarian Foundation (IHF) (check the link here http://www.ihfonline.org). Bali's Center provides extra education (english, maths and computer lesson's). Basic education in Indonesia is extremely expensive and many families just don't have money for it. Some of these kids are living in the center because their parents cannot afford their education or other basic needs.
For the first 3 months, I will be learning everything about the center, teaching English to the children (and all other tasks) but after 6 months I will become co-director of the center, having more responsibility with international tasks (related with other IHF centers, fundraising and so on) learning more about co-director duties, but I will always work with children through my time at IHF.
It will be a great opportunity to develop to serve other by offering my time and skills, at the same time I will be able to develop those skills and improve my resume. After this year, I will be able to search for a job in a NGO, which is my other goal.
IHF provides for their volunteers accommodation, food and a monthly pay of 20$ for the first months, not enough for any extras that I might need, such as medical support, extra food etc. Only last months the monthly pay is100$ because of international tasks that I will have as co-director.
Moreover, I'll need to pay by myself my ticket flight, health insurance and visa. This is why I'm asking this specific amount. This is where your help comes in!
The Center use their money on the children's care, education and on local employers (which I fully support!) and for that reason I need your donation to help me to help them too!
More than your support, you will be helping those children to get better education and offering them big smiles! I want to give all my knowledge, energy and love to this cause, at the same time I will receive it double from them!
