Huddle Up - "Bring it in for DJ"

The Football Coaching Staff at South Lake High School needs your help. One of our South Lake Eagles was seriously injured during FCA Football Camp yesterday. DJ Myers suffered a broken and displaced C5 vertebrae and was immediately airlifted to ORMC where he underwent surgery for almost 11 hours. His C5 vertebrae was removed and broken bones, rods, and a cage was used to fuse his spine. Our #1 goal is for DJ to regain all feeling and mobility in his arms and legs. We were blessed to have 4 of Florida's finest surgeons working on DJ last night. This is just the beginning of a very long healing process. Thankfully, ORMC is the best place DJ can possibly be for this type of spinal injury and paralysis rehabilitation. Your contributions to the family are greatly appreciated as they face this hopeful, yet extremely challenging season of recovery. Expenses for DJ's family are expected to be overwhelming. Please pray for DJ and his family today and during the next several months. As with any community nationwide, we stand in support of our youth football players. We can only imagine the pain the parents are experiencing as they watch their child endure this injury. We prayerfully ask for your financial help for DJ
