'One Young World' Summit in Bangkok

My name is Rachael; I'm 22 living in the UK, London. I am mostly known for being a womenswear fashion designer and a youth/women’s leader.
Today (Monday 19th Oct), my application to attend the One Young World (O.Y.W) Summit in Bangkok as an independent delegate was accepted and I became an O.Y.W Ambassador. O.Y.W is a UK-based organisation that gathers together the brightest young people from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. They stage an annual Summit where the most valuable young talents from global and national companies, NGOs, universities and other forward-thinking organisations are joined by world leaders, acting as the One Young World counsellors. This year’s summit in Bangkok will be held next month November 18-21 2015.
I am most passionate about inspiring and empowering women of all ages, serving the less fortunate and pushing forward those with little opportunities.
In 2008 at the age of 15 I organised an Anti-Knife Crime event. In 2012 I held a charity ball to raise funds for sexually abused women in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In 2015 I launched my organisation called 'The Hannah Academy' which is aimed to raise up powerful, prayerful and purpose-led women and to create a foundation of sisterhood amongst the young generation.
I feel that all of the above have helped play a part in allowing me to create a positive impact in my community, my country and organisation.
I am a youth leader at my church (The Assembly of Messengers) where I lead young adults from the ages of 14-27 and I hope to become a better and more effective youth leader to them in the near future through this opportunity.
Attending this Summit in Bangkok will not only be a lifetime opportunity to meet and hear from great and impactful personnel’s such as Desmond Tutu, Bob Geldof, Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson, Professor Muhammad Yunus and many others in addition to young leaders like myself around the world, but I will also be a part of this amazing organization that will provide training and workshops that will enable me to be the great leader that I aspire to be through the skills and knowledge that I will attain, especially from the Summit.
The fee to attend is £2,750. This delegate fee covers the cost of:
• Hotel accommodation
• Catering
• Transport
• Access to the Summit.
• Summit handouts and support materials.
Flights to Bangkok are NOT included in the delegate fee and must be arranged independently by delegates hence why my goal is to raise £3,750.
I have TEN days to make this amount!!! Nothing is too small or too much to bless me with, I’ll appreciate any money given. I will keep all those that helped me in the loop regularly and I pray that God blesses you in your own way, the same way He has blessed me with this opportunity.
