I KNOW this is not what a Go Fund Me is meant for and I am NOT asking for anything except maybe a nickel that you have at the bottom of your purse with gum stuck to it that you will probably accidentally throw away.
So, here's the deal...My kitties are like my little homies. I'm pretty sure when Caroline looks at me with her wary yellow eyes, she's peering into my soul. I know that Jazmine would kill a mouse and bring it to me even if she was a human to show how much she loves us. Cats are pretty freaking loyal, but are always overlooked for man's best friend, the dog. I ADORE dogs, but like I said... My cats are my homies. They're like little sassy two year olds with fur that can only meow in protest to you putting laundry on their favorite chair or feeding them a salmon patté instead of tuna chunks in gravy.
Excitingly, I've had the privilege of moving to California because the love of my life got a job at the Monterey Bay Aquarium- awesome right? And while the cross country road trip was absolutely breathtaking, we couldn't exactly bring two kitties along for the 4,000 mile ride.
With no one able to care for them in Michigan, their days as "our" little homies are numbered unless we can get them out to California instead of into the arms of someone who doesn't know how to scratch Caroline's belly just right or what kind of toy Jazz prefers. We are realizing we will need to fly them out and work to build the security deposit for them to be able to reside in our new apartment. I JUST got here and I am currently looking for a job and only have so much money saved up for the most expensive part of the country.
SO here I am turning to twitter and social media which is pathetic, I know, but these little homies are my favorite things in the world and I couldn't imagine giving them away... Even if the new family wasn't the Buttkisses (Mary Kate and Ashley reference for those unknowing) and they were given to the most caring people.
PLEASE even give $.05 if that's the amount of empathy you have, Caroline, Jazz, and I would GREATLY appreciate it.
