Shelley Sims- A Heart of Gold
Donation protected
Meet Shelley Sims. She's 52 years old. Shelley has just been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, and Liver cancer that has also spread a tiny bit to her lungs.
Shelley has a 24 year old daughter and has legal custody of a 10 year old girl that she took in as an infant. A true heart of gold.
Shelley is now fighting for her life and also fighting the battle to survive for her "girls" as well. 52 years old. How is this even possible?
We have recently been informed that Shelley's company could no longer hold her job for her and she will be losing her health benefits. Now what??? Money should not be a worry to someone who is already fighting a battle with cancer. Nobody should have to worry about that. Especially when treatment has just started.
I met Shelley back in 2009 and she was full of life and energy and spunk. I immediately loved her. Soon after I realized what a wonderful person she was and I knew then we wold be great friends. Shelley always saw the good in people and shows such geniune compassion for them.
Chemo has been started and we are all very very hopeful. At this time Shelley is very weak and not able to walk yet but struggling every day to gain her strength and move forward, longing to be home again with her girls and family and friends. It all happened so fast.
If you could help our dear friend Shelley in any way that would be so much appreciated. Anything will help support her. If you are unable to donate, please pray for her and her family as hope and love is truly needed too.
No words could every thank you enough.
