A stronger saftey Helmet for Kai.

I'd like you to meet Kai, he is a happy 13 year old boy. He loves the garden, running free and dancing.
However, Kai has some health issues, which include Tuberous Sclerosis Complex, epilepsy and autism to name a few, he is the bravest lad I know. In his short life, has dealt with so much, he has had seizures daily from the age of four months, he has been on alot of medication, and had three major brain operations to reduce his epileptic seizures.
At first the surgery helped, and the seizures stopped, but unfortunately they returned stronger. Kai is currently on a drugs trial and his seizures have reduced from around 33 per day to between 1 and 7 per day, which is a positive step in the right direction. However, Kai is a strong and growing lad, he has had several huge seizures recently, resulting in huge gashes to his head and bumps that have caused concern amongst doctors, resulting in hospital visits.
Kai wears an NHS safety helmet, but it just isnt protective enough for him, nor strong enough to take the weight of a drop. Kai is only going to get bigger and stronger.
These recent accidents during seizures have meant that Kai is no longer able to spend any time alone running free, or playing with his siblings in the garden. Due to the risk of further injuries, he is confined, retricted and frustrated, as are his parents Vikki and Scott. They are unable to leave Kai alone for any length of time, which as you might imagine, with a family, is a challenge in itself. When Kai is at school, he is confined to his wheelchair, there are too many objects and furniture for him to hurt himself on should he have a seizure. He is restricted and he doesn't want to be. Who would?
So, onto my reason for this Go Fund Me page- to raise money for Kai to have a stronger, more protective safety helmet. The NHS ones are incredibly basic and just aren't doing their job in protecting Kai from injury during a drop seizure. He needs to have a quality of life, and if a simple and necessary thing like a safey helmet wil help him have that, then I think he deserves the best.
Kai has made so much progress in the last year, he's gone from being unable to walk and extremly poorly, to being super happy and active, which has bought Vikki and Scott so much joy; to see their beautiful boy thriving again, yet now so much heartache and frustration as they have to stop him doing the things he so loves to do. Please contribute to fund a new safety helmet for Kai.
Thank you.
