Little Princess Trust Hair Donation
Over the next couple of months I will be raising money for the Little Princess Trust. This is an organisation that make wigs from real hair for children and young people who have sadly lost their own due to many different illnesses.
As a young girl, and even now, my hair has always meant the world to me and I can’t even begin to imagine losing it because of something that I have no control over.
Whether it’s because of cancer treatment or alopecia (and a hundred other possible causes), these children and their families have so much going on.. if we can help with making them smile when they look in the mirror, and feel a bit more confident when they leave the house then that’s a tiny weight off of their and their families shoulders.
I am going to donate as much hair as I can for this charity to use, and I also want to the raise the £350 that it will cost the charity to make a new wig for one child.
The minimum donation is 7” but they have a much greater need for hair 14” and longer. At the moment I have approx. 10” from my shoulders.
My aim is to have raised as much of this money by the end of July, and I will arrange my donation for early August (this year). *UPDATE* On 31.07.19 I donated just under 13” of my hair! Photo attached.
