Help Wally's Pal Jax fight Cancer

Donation protected
Some of you may have seen some of Wally the Squirrels video's on YouTube.  Someone suggested I start a Go Fund Me to help keep Wally happy and fed since he can't live in the wild.  Wally has a hole in his nasal cavity that we are able to keep an eye on while he is in our home.  He has trouble eating because food falls right out of his mouth.  He has some amount of paralysis in his tongue and his face looks a little off from it.If he were let out he would be susceptible to more than you average squirrel, especially in the winter.  I fear he would get pneumonia and die.  Wally's care is not a big issue for us; he just goes through hazelnuts like ther is an endless supply!  He hides most of them in dirt buckets in his room and they end up pulling the moisture from the dirt and going bad.  To keep him happy and active we do spend quite a lot at Nuts.com!

My real reason for starting this is to get help with our 4 year old Bernese Mountain dog, Jax's.  He was diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia in his right hip.
He came from a well know, high end breeder who guarantees their puppies hips/health for 3 years.  If you prove to them that the dog has issues their guarantee doesn't help the dog you have. They send you a new puppy for free.  I love my boy but I couldn't afford their "guarantee."  Jax came to us when his owner who brought him her from Switzerland, could not care for him anymore and we were unaware of his undiagnosed issues.  They loved him and provided an excellent home for him before he came into our lives.

Jax needs a full hip replacement but the recovery/aftercare of this for a large dog is long, painful, tedious as well as expensive.  For now we have been keeping him happy and comfortable with mild pain management and joint supplements.  I know the future will be tough for my sweet guy but I thought I would start this to raise a little bit of money to help with his now, minor expenses in hope that when it gets hard I will have some extra money saved to continue to keep him happy and comfortable.

In addition to Jax and Wally's issues we have a 10 year old cock-a-poo named Riley who does not produce tears.  His poor little eyes are always a mess and I know it has to be uncomfortable.  The vet told us his body is trying to over compensate by drilling veins into his pupils.  We put drops in his eyes 15-20 times a day and use tubes of eye lubricant daily which can be very expensive.  We also have Joey, out rescue cat.  We found him eating out of a McDonalds French fry container near a dumpster when he was just weeks old. He was just under a pound and our Giant Mastiff Briggs watched over him day and night until he was big enough to roam the house.
Joey was born without upper eye lids and we were told he would need skin grafts to create what he lacked.  He had such a horrible experience with the anesthesia when he was neutered that we haven't had the surgery for his eyes.  Not to mention the cost!  We maintain the health of his eyes and he is a very happy, social, and seemingly normal cat.

For those of you who have seen Wally and Jax on my YouTube page you will see they had a video go viral.  You’d think I would have made enough from those 11 million views to fund Jax's pain management but unfortunately I made nothing off that.  I submitted that video to America's Funniest Home Video's before it was ever really viewed on my channel.  Now they own the video.  My fault really for not reading the entire disclaimer on their FB before sharing it but that has been a hard lesson learned.  I have gotten offers form around the world to use that video and I've had to decline all of them because I lost all rights to that video.  I do appreciate all the attention it brought my channel but if you add the views from the other 138 videos it doesn't even come close to the one I lost.

Thanks for reading!
