Hi there, I'm Tom O'Halloren, Producer of the Wasteland Radio podcast, which is now in its third series. I'm here to ask you to help us bring the world of Wasteland Radio to life as a half hour short film to be available on Youtube later this year. Working with me on the project is our Cinematographer, Bob Huber, and Editor, Mitchell Welsh.
We have a script that blends a pair of familiar Wasteland Radio storylines with added twists. We have some great actors on board and rehearsals have taken place. We have familiar voices from the podcast playing roles as well. It's going to be amazing! I'm asking you, dear listeners, for help in funding for the costumes and some of the props and set pieces. Did I mention we have an actual radio station?! Yes, we'll be shooting the film at WRNJ Radio in Hackettstown, NJ!

Shooting is scheduled for June 18th and 19th, so we need your help now. This short will be made whether we receive any funding or not, and we will likely make more of these down the line, but we need your help to make the make post-apocalyptic Amarillo, Texas really come to life.
Wasteland Radio is a different kind of post-apocalypse. Like Charlie says, "We inherited a changed world, not a dead one." It's about embracing the oddities in life and chasing down dreams, in a tank, with a pack of dogmen by your side. Please help us make Wasteland Radio's 'Broadcast 1, Cupcakes and Family' as awesome as I know it can be!
"Scene 1
EXTERIOR- A radio receiver in an old shack somewhere off in the wasteland. A grizzled hand festering with greenish lumps turns the receiver on and tunes in to a station from which comes an eerie banjo tune. Move to a shot of a desert vista, the sun rising in the background. Next we see the skyline of New Amarillo, Texas with a billboard in the foreground welcoming visitors to town. The sign is old and faded; a relic from the elders’ time. The radio tower is clearly visible on the horizon."
"One hundred years in the past I was shot off in a rocket ship on that blasted Pluto mission, and the world ended while I was cryogenically frozen… I awoke from the slumber pod just as my space ship was re-entering earth’s atmosphere. Before I knew it I had crash landed just outside this city… Amarillo, Texas… a century into the future."
"Happy Pappy’s my name, slinging cupcakes is my game. Listen, John, I just rolled into town with a truckload of the finest pastries bullets can buy"
"We came to revenge ourselves upon you, and so we shall. Tomorrow, high noon. You meet No Importante and I out in front of this here radio station, on Main Street for a pistol showdown."
"Well folks, I’ve been your host for the morning show, Charlie C., and until the next rising of the sun, sustain yourselves out there!"
