Sandy & Jake's Tornado Recovery
Donation protected
My mom and brother, Sandy and Jake Burchett, lost their house and everything in it when a tornado tore through their small town of Evergreen, VA on Feb. 24th.
Jake was in the house sleeping when it came through and he woke up seconds before being thrown across two yards, landing up against the neighbor's house. He has an L1 compression fracture, staples in his head and stitches in a finger. We're waiting on results of MRI but will more than likely require surgery.
The house is in pieces scattered across the area while friends are are out looking for household furniture and items of value but my mom and brother don't have a home to go to when we leave the hospital. Both of Jake's vehicles are totaled as is my mom's car that she was selling.
All donations will go directly to my mom and brother to help them start rebuilding their lives and begin again. We are all so blessed and thankful and know that God is in control of everything. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the prayers, thoughts and any assistance.
