We love the Nelson Family

Thank you friends for your love and prayers for the Nelson family.  Two years ago this family chose to open their hearts to a new family member.  Many of us have come to know and love Dan Dan, who is now going by Dani (short for Danielle).  

In this short time the family has made many adjustments; but especially Dani.  Coming from an orphanage in China, to a real family of her own, she has blossomed in so many ways.  Dani now has sisters, brothers, pets, and two loving parents.  Besides having to learn a whole new language and culture, she still has the many challenges of Spina Bifida to deal with.


Most recently Dani and Christi spent almost 2 weeks in South Carolina for a much needed surgery.  Since most of you are familiar with the details, I won't mention that here.  Most of us are interested in how we can help.  

Recently Dani and Christi had to make take an emergency flight to back to South Carolina.  Thank God it looks like another surgery won't be needed.

I have spoken to Christi several times about allowing us (her friends)  to help financially.  Not only do they have undisclosed  medical bills, they have had added travel expenses.  They had hoped to incorporate a family trip into the medical travel so they would not have to be apart as much.

 It is often so much harder to receive than to give.  However, Christi at the behest of many loving friends has agreed to let me post this.
It is indeed a privilege for all of us to be the hands of Jesus in helping to shower this family with the love of God.
