Together we are building HOPE!!

Hi friends,

An earthquake  shook Ecuador's northwestern coast and we lost hundred of lives and thousands of people were wounded.

Ecuador was in a state of emergency Sunday after the magnitude-7.8 earthquake flattened buildings and ravaged towns just before 7 p.m. (8 p.m. ET) Saturday.

More than 600 deaths and thousands of injured people. Not to mention all the materials things that have been lost, we have around 22,000 families in shelters.

My name is Allan Ajoy. I have lived in USA for the past 16 years and I lost my job a week before this happened. I call it a "blessing in disguise" I was able to volunteer from Miami and helped to collect toilet paper, diapers, clothing, water, repellents, tents, food and more for the victims of the earthquake.

But with my new "free time" I felt this wasn't enough and bought a ticket to be in my beloved country. I stayed there for a month and I am going back again for another month. The help we have receieved fomr everyone has been incredible.

We were able to transport bamboos to build shelters, housing. Bringing food and water to small communities. Organizing little parties for the kids and bringing them back a smile. Recruting doctors volunteering to check on thousans of people that need medical attention. The need is bigger that we think and we need to plan a future and is in your hands to plan a future for the people of Ecuador.
