Dear Family and Friends,
Your generosity has gotten Thomas where he is today; under the care of Dr. Mark Rosenberg and his team at Advanced Medical Therapeutics, and at the forefront of amazing new treatments and procedures which are available to very few. We are so humbled by how far the kindness of others has gone and feel so blessed to have the support of you all.
Unfortunately, we did not anticipate Thomas’ cancer battle would be such a long one, and his medical team believes he will be in this for the long haul. Even once the disease is under control, he will likely be treated to some degree for the rest of his life.
To put it in real numbers, it has been costing roughly $15,000 out of pocket each month for Thomas to receive the care and obtain the medications vital to keeping his health stable and his recovery on track. And now, with 5 months of chemotherapy, two major surgeries and one out-of-country procedure under his belt, we are back to square one, with no funds remaining and a great deal of worry about how we will continue to give him a fighting chance.
I am reaching out with a new goal, in the hope that his story will continue to spread and that aid will come our way again. Right now, I'd like to keep it simple: let's get Thomas to 2016. Another year of promise and another year of new opportunities. 2015 has brought so much, and we are so excited to see what 2016 holds.
All my love and endless gratitude,
Jessica Fekete
