The Michael A. Miranda Fund

Donation protected

On August 20th, 2017 in th wee hours of the morning, after a night of fun in Boston's theater district our 28 year old Brother  Michael Alexander Miranda , a father of 2 boys, Bentley and Kaysen was shot.

At 7.17pm that evening he was pronounced dead with his family and friends by his side.

We loved our brother.
He was the life of the party.
A shining light in our family.
He was everything you loved about having a brother.

He didnt deserve to die. he was a great guy and a great dad.

He meant everything to us.

Our brother was trying to defend a friend after a robbery, when a group of men decided to shoot two innocent people in close range.

They ended Michael's dreams, but he has fueled ours.

We loved him so much, we as a family decided to Baptize Mikey and pay his love forward by choosing to donate his organs, so that we may one day meet the people he will save.

To date, he has given 8 people a chance at a new life and more time with their loved ones.

We have covered the arrangements, burial and funeral expenses for our dear brother.

We have set up this gofundme, to support our goal to create the Michael A. Miranda Fund for Cape-Verdean People, Peace & Progress that we hope can support initiatives, events and programs to reduce violence and support community-building in our community.

Here is a news story that can tell you more: http://www.fox25boston.com/news/activist-vows-to-continue-fighting-boston-violence-after-brothers-murder/597221104

We also will use funds to support the future dreams of his two children. You can also support by directly by depositing into an account created to support the boys.

To support the future Michael A. Miranda Memorial Fund to support the educational and needs of his two sons Bentley M. And Kaysen please send donations to:

Thank you for your support and we love you all. We know our brother made a difference in many of our lives.

Together we hope to stop the madness that is gun violence. We cannot bring our brother back, but we can bring awarness and try to give other families hope of change.
