Hope for Mia

Little Mia was found as a stray in Las Vegas. Underweight, flea ridden and pregnant, Mia was rescued from the streets and placed in a foster home so she could have her puppies in a safe place while she received some much needed love and health care. After the puppies were weaned and adopted, it was Little Mia's turn to find her forever family.
A grandma that was determined to find the perfect rescue dog for her 5 year old granddaughter, found Mia's picture online and made sure she was standing first in line on Saturdays meet and greet. Mia found her family! Mia was on her way to Wyoming and to her new, pampered life. Mia met five year old Abby and it was a match. Mia sleeps, plays and lives for that little girl. It was the perfect fit.
Unfortunately, two weeks after Mia came home, she was diagnosed with a stage 4/5 heart murmur and the prognosis isn't good. We're not giving up hope. Mia is such a happy, playful 18(ish) month old character! What a neat little dog, she is so much fun and carries her very own, extra large personality- just like her human
Mia is scheduled for heart surgery on January 17, 2018 at Colorado State University. Let's help Mia get the care she needs so she can live a long, happy and healthy life with her tiny human!
