Where in the World is CAL?
Tax deductible
This fall, join Corporate Accountability Lab in our travels around the world, fighting corporate evildoers! We’ll be visiting at least five countries, showcasing different aspects of CAL’s work as we go, and posting photos and videos of our capers. But we’re not telling you where we’re going in advance--it’s up to you, gumshoes, to figure it out!
If you’re not familiar with CAL, our mission is to drive innovation in the human rights field by applying a lab model to legal design, collaboration, and research. We repurpose commercial law to address abuses in global supply chains, and build toward a future where victims have enforceable rights and access to remedy. You can learn about some of our current projects here, but since we’re a legal design shop, some of our work stays behind the scenes.
At each stop on our journey, you’ll get to learn about CAL and why corporate accountability work is so important. To follow our travels, like our page on Facebook, follow us on twitter, and sign up for our email list.
Where the money goes: International human rights work, even on a lean budget like ours, costs real money! An essential part of our work is taking the legal strategies we develop to the communities who can use them for feedback and collaboration. This way, we’re creating strategies that don’t just win cases, but that support social movements and reflect the needs of those most impacted. Your contributions will pay for plane tickets, hotels, interpreters, drivers, and other costs incurred in these trips. And keep any eye on this page, as we will be announcing some special rewards for our top donors as we go.
Want to know where we’re headed first? Check out our intro video for some hints. See you on our first caper!
